Memorial Day Mattress Sales 2016 are fast approaching and the mattress stores are getting ready to bombard consumers with their annual Memorial Day Mattress sales. Before you get too excited and tempted by the “massive discounts” and “lowest prices of the year” please do yourself a favor and take a look at some of the new online mattress companies, especially if you are in the market for a memory foam bed.
I would recommend taking a hard look at some of the new online mattress startups. Some were rated as some of the top latex mattresses by Consumer Reports in their April 2015 issue.
You can get a either in a king size for under $1,000. They also have a 100 night trial where if you don’t like it they will take it back and give you a full refund. They also pay for shipping back so you aren’t out anything!

If you’re still inclined, go out to your local Sleepys, Slumberland, Sears or Mattress Firm etc. to see how their mattresses stack up in terms of quality and features after sleeping on one of the online mattresses. You will have a solid reference point for quality and price.
I always hated mattress shopping because sometimes I feel that I’m wasting their time if I really never intend to buy a mattress that day. It’s almost like they can sense you’re just a tire kicker.
That’s a big reason I’m so pleased with the online mattress companies. Absolutely no pressure. Their mattresses sell themselves on quality alone. No need to talk them up. Their return policy is great to because it’s no questions asked and you aren’t stuck trying to find another mattress in the store as a replacement. Something that may or may not be worse than the one you originally purchased.
